Entering SF. |
They're practically finished constructing some new skyscraper, though I've got no more info on that at this point. |
Almost there, and here's the first pose she gives. Hehe... |
Unlike years before, where you merely cross the street for your exhibit hall pass, we had to go to a very crowded Moscone building where even the keepers of order were told they were doing it wrong. Not exactly a good sign! |
Aha, the MacBook Air, what was debuting at this year's MacWorld. Damn, it's so thin! |
The table of sample laptops seemed to go on for miles. Dunno whose head it was, but someone's got a fuzzy shave in the corner. |
Helper dudes for every laptop. I'm sure I was talking to one in the leftmost picture. |
Kory's turn. That thing is as light as a feather! |
This pic's motion blur makes it appear that some random person is typing at "Kory speed"! |
The screen itself is paper thin, but the entire laptop when closed is still only an inch or so thick. What stops me from getting one (aside from price) is the lack of firewire ports, and no DVD drive; it all has to be external for now. I'm sure later versions may have 'em inside, though... |
I couldn't believe they just strung a bunch of these new Macs on a string! Creative way of displaying the "thickness" of these new machines; it fascinated me, for sure. |
And that is that. |
After the miniest walk in the world that crosses the street over a bridge, Kory and I came upon the Yerba Buena Gardens, which are alongside the Metreon. |
The part we were at isn't really the gardens at all. Instead, we were at the top, where this neat fountain stretches out parallel to some seating. We, of course, chose to sit there. |
Here was the view, straight on. A nice church, not small by any means, but this photo makes it look so tiny in comparison to the other buildings. |
The birds start comin'. |
Sitting among the buildings... You can see a hint of the bags we carried in this shot. Sitting here "carried weight" in that we no longer carried those bags! |
A few shots together. Awww... |
This almost looks like one of those Anne Leibowitz pictures for children. At least, I think that's her name... |
I just loved this fountain! It poured water out so smoothly, keeping a constant shape while at it. Hypnotizing. |
All those bubbles, perfect to keep feet next to. Oh, wait, we did that already! |
Time to shoot Kory. (With a camera, hello?) This is probably the nicest shot. |
Another nice shot, it symbolizes being in a windy city, and emphasizes her long locks. |
From bottom and top perspectives, the green is always apparent. Perfect timing for this page's publication, the same week as St. Patrick's Day. |
Say cheese! |
The birds are back. |
Oh my, are the birds ever back! With a vengeance, I'd say. |
One bird lands in the fountain. |
Then, more. Eventually, they all do! Damn seagulls! |
As much as I give distaste for the gulls, I love this shot. |
I suppose it is good that those feathered buzzards land here and not just float around. They're actually bathing! |
What are you lookin' at?? |
No more gulls, but a shot from behind. No wonder she's smiling like that! ;-) |
