PRODUCTION PHOTOS FROM THIEF!
To continue the trend from last month, here are but some of the official ones taken for the 2006 film, and more may continually be added. Photographers: Maria P. Garcia, Garett Thomas, Stephanie Young.

DAY 1: THE CAR

Before filming began, an intense game of Jenga was played. Dunno if it helped, but Actor Evan sure seems focused here.
Now we're at parking garage #1 of the three we used, though we only got pics at the first of them. Here's Evan and Ed, the stars.
Lovely Steph, bunny ears and all.
Smiles from Alisa and yours truly.

The screenplay and the set. I loved the vivid colors, but had to go without them, knowing the movie would be B&W.

Needed a gaffer.
Testing out the seat... Testing out the set...

Practice on the set, lighting and all. Only thing missing is full costumes...

...So get in costume!

Filming on the left and right. Don't know what's going on in the center... Let's call it, "directing."

Alisa and Betty.
Yea... No comment necessary!

DAY 2: THE PORTABLE GREEN SCREEN

Yellow light... Ooo, ahh.
Ed in red.
Whaddaya know? A homemade portable green screen! The magic of PVC piping.
Evan lit in blue.

Moving the green screen around. Evan wouldn't be allowed to authentically kick Ed, so he'd have to be composited in front of Ed to achieve the shot.

Finally, a fighting pic! Really, it's more a blocking of choreography that was already preplanned.
Charlie's Angels?

The walls were actually used quite a bit, especially when Evan's character jumps over one to land on a stairwell. Don'tcha just love editing?

That stairwell couldn't be the one here... We were able to film in the parking area just fine, but the stairwells had security cams. They had people come to us within five minutes of being on the stairs to tell us we needed a permit to film there.
As you can see in this shot, and some other earlier ones, we wore a nametag to establish ourselves as filmmakers, not just random people with a camera. They appreciated this, but it still wasn't a permit. Guerilla filmmaking would find another way: another parking garage!
